JMC Aviation are working with a MRO company based near Cardiff, looking to recruit a new B1 Licensed Engineer to join their team. This company are global leaders in Aircraft Storage, Disassembly and Storage services. The role has arisen as the company is growing on the maintenance arm of their business, while welcoming the introduction of a new hangar. The team are dedicated to delivering exceptional maintenance services, ensuring value at every step for some of the world's leading lessors and airlines. In a varied and dynamic environment, the company work with a diverse range of aircraft types and requirements - from short-term storage, complex modification packages, interior reconfigurations, to end-of-lease maintenance activities.

This is a Permanent Position based near Cardiff, working a bi-weekly shift pattern, Mon-Thurs/Tues-Fri on 4 days a week.

The Role:

The primary purpose of this role is to carry out maintenance on aircraft as defined by customers' work orders, in accordance with company maintenance MOE and relevant procedures. Other duties involve:

  • Ensure that all maintenance documentation and relevant forms are fully completed, including that of the team members allocated to assist and that all required reporting is performed in a timely manner.
  • Perform respective maintenance activities to ensure that all maintenance actions are performed efficiently and in a timely manner.
  • Liaison with the management with regards to progress, manpower, critical path and third-party requirements.
  • Maintain standard engineering practices such as task control, general husbandry, workplace cleanliness and FOD prevention/rectification measures.

In order to be successful in this role the B1 Licensed Engineer will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

  • CAA and/or EASA B1 or B1/B2 License with at least one of the following types:
  • A320 Family
  • B737 Family
  • A330 Family
  • Evidence of currency
  • Highly organised and able to prioritise work in a fast-paced environment.
  • EGR and additional types advantageous
