Managers are the driving force for sales and delivery in the business. You work hand in hand with principals and delivery teams across multiple projects and locations. You’re vital to the success of our teams and projects. Your focus will be quality and excellence – in project planning, delivery, and client relationship management. You help clients deliver results against complex business challenges. Given the diversity of our clients and projects, you’ll need the ability to adapt and perform in numerous roles. Driven by focus on the clients’ best interests, you will draw on the expertise of the principal to add value to the client experience. Your objective is to improve the people you are managing, using knowledge from your own experience in people and client management. You’re constantly learning, seeking ideas and feedback from others, and effectively delivering results through your team.

Your role and responsibilities:

  • Independently manage the day‑to‑day delivery of multiple external client engagements and workstreams, providing oversight to the delivery teams whilst taking responsibility for the outputs and recommendations across projects.
  • Own the day‑to‑day client relationship, up to c‑suite.
  • Pursue upsell and cross‑sell opportunities that arise on projects, sharing intelligence with the principal where needed, and working with them to extend client engagements and build relationships with client stakeholders.
  • Manage, support and work closely with a cross‑functional, international team to solve complex problems pragmatically and deliver a sustainable outcome.
  • Deliver high quality slide decks to effectively communicate to and influence multiple senior stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Take responsibility for your own personal development by completing internal and external training initiatives as required.
  • Drive internal projects and work alongside teams that look to improve the way we operate as a business.
  • Act as an ambassador of JMAN values and provide mentorship to more junior members in the team.

Requirements:

  • Current right to work in the UK.
  • 5+ years relevant work experience – ideally in small/midsize consulting, private equity, corporate banking, or equivalent, fast‑paced background/environment.
  • Can evidence hypothesis‑led thinking and structuring ambiguity.
  • Strong academic background and quantitative ability.
  • Conceptually understands data models (fact/dimension logic) and warehouse architecture.
  • Excellent project management skills – working across multiple projects simultaneously, in a fast‑paced, high‑performance environment.
  • Experience ensuring deliverables meet high quality standards (accuracy and completeness).
  • Experience in effectively line‑managing smaller/tighter teams.
  • Has been involved in sales processes – e.g. led sales processes and/or supported the sale of work and led the delivery of that project.
  • Highly competent communicator (verbally and written) and comfortable communicating to internal teams and handling challenging senior stakeholders.
  • Ambitious, wants to progress quickly and take on more responsibility.
  • Flexibility to travel to client site when needed.

The way you’re likely to work:

  • Strategic thinker (understands business goals, aligns recommendations, keeps an eye on the big picture).
  • Strong problem solver and analytical – e.g. breaks down complex issues, identifies root causes, uses data and insights to develop structured and actionable solutions.
  • Adaptive and well‑organised – can move between and balance a variety of priorities.
  • Proactive and can demonstrate you will go the extra mile.
  • Not afraid to suggest a change in the business or voice an idea that the company could pursue.
  • You thrive under pressure and see challenges as opportunities.
  • You display a high level of self‑awareness and take ownership of your personal development.

Beneficial:

  • A grounding in data science or AI.
  • Experience working in a cross‑functional global delivery model.
  • Experience working on data projects.
  • Experience using analytical tools including Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, SQL, Python.
