JMAC Group is seeking an exceptional Strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join the business at a pivotal stage of growth and transformation. This is not a traditional CFO role. This is a rare opportunity for a commercially driven and strategically minded finance leader to become a key architect in the next phase of the Group’s expansion, helping shape a scalable, high‑performing organisation with long‑term enterprise value at its core.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will operate as a true strategic partner to the leadership team at a Group level, with substantial autonomy and influence across the Group’s commercial, operational, financial, acquisition, investment, and international growth activities. The successful candidate will play a central role in:

  • Driving strategic growth initiatives
  • Supporting acquisitions and investment activity
  • Developing scalable financial and operational infrastructure
  • Building a global corporate structure capable of supporting international expansion
  • Enhancing commercial performance and enterprise value
  • Influencing supply chain strategy, procurement efficiencies, and market expansion opportunities
  • Supporting the evolution of the Group into a market‑leading platform business

This opportunity is ideally suited to a career CFO who thrives in entrepreneurial and fast‑growth environments and who is motivated by creating long‑term value rather than simply managing financial controls. The Group is specifically seeking a high‑calibre executive who wants to contribute strategically at Board level, influence the future direction of the business, and participate meaningfully in the value they help create.

About JMAC Group: JMAC Group is a growing and ambitious multi‑entity business operating across industrial services, scaffolding, access solutions, engineering support services, hire, sales, and associated specialist sectors. The Group is entering an exciting phase of strategic growth, with a clear vision focused on:

  • Organic expansion
  • Strategic acquisitions
  • Operational excellence
  • International supply partnerships
  • Long‑term equity value creation

The leadership team is committed to building a modern, scalable, and commercially agile business platform capable of sustaining national and international growth.

The Strategic CFO will lead the Group’s financial, commercial, and strategic agenda while helping shape the future direction of the business alongside the CEO. The role extends significantly beyond traditional finance leadership and will involve active participation in:

  • Corporate strategy
  • M&A activity
  • International growth planning
  • Investment analysis
  • Banking and investor relations
  • Supply chain optimisation
  • Global structuring initiatives

The CFO will be expected to challenge, influence, and support strategic decision‑making across the Group while ensuring the organisation has the financial infrastructure, governance, reporting capability, and commercial discipline required to scale successfully.

  • Mergers, Acquisitions & Investment Activity: Lead the Group’s acquisition and investment strategy from a financial and commercial perspective; evaluate acquisition targets, strategic partnerships, and investment opportunities; oversee financial modelling, valuation analysis, due diligence, transaction support, and integration planning; work alongside legal, tax, and corporate advisors during transaction processes; develop post‑acquisition integration strategies focused on operational alignment and value realisation; support funding and capital structuring initiatives associated with future growth.
  • Commercial & Operational Leadership: Drive commercial performance across the Group through strong financial insight and operational support; influence pricing strategies, contract negotiations, procurement decisions, and margin improvement initiatives; work closely with operational leadership teams to ensure financial discipline and performance accountability; support tender reviews and commercial assessments to ensure sustainable and profitable growth; identify operational efficiencies and strategic cost optimisation opportunities; review asset utilisation linked to further investment strategies for current and future investment activities linked to ROCE.
  • Global Structure, Supply Chain & Market Expansion: Support the development of an international corporate and operational structure capable of supporting global growth; influence strategic supply chain decisions, procurement strategy, and international supplier relationships; support the identification of new international market opportunities and commercial partnerships; assist in evaluating overseas expansion opportunities, distribution models, and strategic alliances; work closely with leadership to improve supply chain resilience, scalability, and commercial performance; support the Group’s positioning within international markets and future global growth initiative.
  • Financial Strategy & Governance: Lead all Group financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and performance reporting activities; ensure robust financial governance, compliance, risk management, and internal control frameworks; manage Group cash flow, working capital, and financial risk exposure; develop sophisticated KPI reporting and performance analysis frameworks; oversee statutory reporting, tax strategy, audit management, and banking relationships; ensure the Group maintains strong financial credibility with lenders, investors, advisors, and stakeholders; lead the ongoing development of ERP systems, financial reporting tools, and operational reporting infrastructure.
  • Leadership & Culture: Build and lead a high‑performing finance function aligned with the Group’s long‑term ambitions; foster a culture of accountability, commercial awareness, transparency, and continuous improvement; support leadership development across the organisation through strategic financial insight and mentorship; operate as a visible and influential executive leader across the wider business.
