JM Workforce Services are currently working with a Children's Social Care provider, led by an experienced and respected Directorship and Responsible Individual (RI) in recruiting a Registered Manager for a residential children’s home in Manchester.

In this role, you will:

  • Oversee all aspects of the residential children’s home, ensuring the highest standards of care and support are maintained.
  • Lead, inspire, and manage a dedicated team of staff, providing supervision, guidance, and support.
  • Develop and implement individual care and behaviour plans, along with risk assessments for each child, ensuring their needs are effectively met.
  • Maintain effective communication with children, families, external agencies, and professionals involved in their care.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant Ofsted legislation, regulations, and safeguarding procedures.
  • Manage budgets, resources, and administrative tasks efficiently.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive environment that values diversity and respects the rights of children and young people.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of service delivery, implementing improvements as necessary.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has proven experience as a Registered Manager within a residential children’s home setting.
  • Consistent Good or Outstanding Ofsted Judgements.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (preferred).
  • Level 3 /4 in Children and Young People’s Workforce (essential).
  • Sound knowledge of Ofsted legislation, regulations, and best practices in childcare.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
