About the Role

As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you’ll:

  • Lead shifts and provide hands-on care, guidance, and support to children and young people.
  • Act as a positive role model, inspiring both the children and your team.
  • Deliver individual care plans, ensuring each child’s needs are understood and met.
  • Keep accurate records, including daily logs, incident reports, and safeguarding documentation.
  • Support and mentor the care team, helping them develop their skills.
  • Contribute to creating a nurturing, high-quality home environment in line with Ofsted standards.

About You

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

  • Experience in children’s residential care, including managing challenging behaviours.
  • Leadership experience or the ability to supervise and guide a team (desirable).
  • A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
  • A Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Availability to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and regular sleep-ins.
