JM Workforce Services are currently working with a Children’s Social Care provider, with an experienced and respected Directorship and RI already in place based in Birmingham, to recruit a Registered Children’s Home Manager. We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Registered Manager to lead a residential children’s home in Birmingham. The Registered Manager will oversee the overall management and operation of the home, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, fostering a positive culture, and providing strong leadership to the staff team.
Compensation and Benefits:
- £50,000 - £60,000 (dependent on experience)

Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the residential children’s home, ensuring the highest standards of care and support are maintained.
- Lead, inspire, and manage a dedicated team of staff, providing supervision, guidance, and support.
- Develop and implement individual care and behaviour plans, along with risk assessments for each child, ensuring their needs are effectively met.
- Maintain effective communication with children, families, external agencies, and professionals involved in their care.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and safeguarding procedures.
- Manage budgets, resources, and administrative tasks efficiently.
- Promote a positive and inclusive environment that values diversity and respects the rights of children and young people.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of service delivery, implementing improvements as necessary.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Registered Manager within a residential children’s home setting.
- Consistent Good or Outstanding Ofsted Judgements.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification).
- Sound knowledge of Ofsted legislation, regulations, and best practices in childcare.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Schedule:
