JM Selection are currently recruiting for a trusted leader in rail, plant, and HGV maintenance delivering quality, reliability, and excellence to every client we serve. They are seeking a highly organised and proactive Workshop Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operation of our busy maintenance workshop. This is a leadership-focused role responsible for coordinating workloads, managing workshop schedules, and supporting a team of technicians to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
The Role
- Book work into the workshop, plan workloads, and ensure all jobs are prioritised and completed on schedule.
- Coordinate daily activities across the workshop, balancing planned maintenance, urgent repairs, and customer requirements.
- Provide clear direction, support, and leadership to workshop staff.
- Monitor job progress, identify delays, and take action to keep work flowing efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records, schedules, and job updates.
- Support with personnel matters including attendance, performance, and general team management.
- Ensure high standards of housekeeping, safety, and professionalism across the workshop.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, customers, and management.
