About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Legal Assistant to join our clients busy Conveyancing department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong legal administration background who thrives in a fast-paced professional environment and enjoys providing high-quality support to fee earners and clients.
- Minimum 2 yearsβ experience in a conveyancing legal office environment (essential)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to Head of Conveyancer to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.
- Act as a first point of contact for clients, handling calls, emails, and correspondence professionally.
- Prepare, file, and manage legal documents and correspondence.
- Monitor deadlines, manage diaries, and maintain accurate calendars.
- Answer and direct incoming telephone calls.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Use internal CRM systems and standard office software effectively.
- Proactively support the team by prioritising workloads and meeting deadlines.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar legal support role.
- Strong understanding of legal procedures and day-to-day operations of a legal practice.
- Excellent organisational and secretarial skills.
- High level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Office.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Proactive, adaptable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
