We are seeking an experienced Associate Solicitor to join our busy Residential Conveyancing Department in Cardiff. Reporting to the Equity Partner and Head of Department, you will manage a varied caseload, support departmental development, and play an active role in driving the growth of our Cardiff office.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage residential conveyancing matters from instruction to completion
- Draft legal documents, review title documents, conduct searches, liaise with third parties and advise clients throughout their transaction
- Prepare completion statements, exchange contracts, handle completions, and manage SDLT and Land Registry submissions
- Deliver excellent client care and ensure full compliance with SRA rules
- Support business development in Cardiff, attending regular networking events
- Strengthen client relationships and contribute to departmental and firm-wide initiatives
- Lead by example, promoting high standards and a safe working environment
About You
- Admitted Solicitor with ideally 5+ years PQE in residential conveyancing
- Strong track record of performance as an Associate Solicitor (or previous Head of Dept/Partner)
- Excellent communication, decision-making and organisational skills
- Confident in balancing competing priorities and handling complex matters
- Able to mentor and motivate colleagues and contribute positively to team culture
- Flexible to work outside normal hours where required
