Are you an organised and proactive Conveyancing Assistant looking to join a busy, professional property team? We are seeking an experienced individual to support the successful delivery of residential and commercial property transactions, providing exceptional service to clients while ensuring cases progress efficiently from instruction through to completion. The Role

As a Conveyancing Assistant, you'll provide comprehensive administrative and legal support across a varied caseload, assisting with residential conveyancing, leasehold transactions, commercial property matters and specialist property finance. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with residential sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity and new build transactions
  • Opening new files and completing client onboarding, ID verification and AML checks
  • Preparing client care documentation and legal correspondence
  • Requesting searches, title documents, contract packs and redemption statements
  • Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, brokers and solicitors
  • Chasing outstanding enquiries and ensuring transactions progress within agreed timescales
  • Assisting with exchange, completion and post-completion matters
  • Preparing completion statements and Land Registry documentation
  • Supporting leasehold transactions, including management packs and landlord enquiries
  • Assisting with commercial property acquisitions, disposals, refinancing and leases
  • Supporting bridging finance transactions and ensuring lender requirements are met
  • Assisting with company purchases involving SPVs, LLPs, trusts and corporate clients
  • Maintaining accurate case management records and ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Providing first-class client care throughout every transaction

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is organised, detail-focused and enjoys working in a fast-paced legal environment. You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience working within a conveyancing or property law environment
  • Experience supporting residential conveyancing transactions
  • Knowledge of leasehold property transactions
  • Understanding of HM Land Registry procedures
  • Familiarity with AML and compliance requirements
  • Experience using legal case management systems
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • A professional and client-focused approach

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Experience supporting commercial property transactions
  • Knowledge of bridging finance
  • Experience dealing with company purchases, SPVs or LLPs
  • Legal administration, conveyancing or CILEX qualifications
