Hire Desk Controller

South Wales £30,000 per annum Permanent | Full-time An established business in South Wales is looking for a Hire Desk Controller to join its team on a permanent basis. This role would suit an organised and customer-focused individual who enjoys a busy working environment and is confident coordinating customers, suppliers, deliveries and collections. What you'll be doing Managing customer enquiries by phone and email Taking hire requirements and arranging suitable equipment Preparing quotes and processing bookings Coordinating deliveries and collections Checking equipment availability Liaising with customers, suppliers and drivers Managing hire documentation and administration Updating internal systems and maintaining accurate records Monitoring equipment returns and reporting issues Resolving customer queries and operational problems Building strong customer and supplier relationships Supporting the wider team with the daily running of the operation What we're looking for We're looking for someone who is: Organised and reliable Customer-focused and professional Confident communicating over the phone and email Comfortable managing several tasks at once Good at solving problems IT literate with good attention to detail Proactive and able to work independently Experience in hire desk, plant hire, tool hire, equipment rental, logistics, transport or a similar environment would be an advantage.
