A leading international law firm is hiring an experienced Billing Manager to oversee billing operations across London and another European office. This is a senior, hands-on role working closely with Partners, UK finance leadership, and US stakeholders. Aderant experience is essential.
The Role
- Lead and develop a London-based billing team (c.9 direct reports)
- Oversee accurate, timely billing for London and another European office in line with client guidelines
- Manage complex Partner billing, pre-bills, final bills, and credit notes
- Ensure compliance with VAT, SRA Accounts Rules, and firm controls
- Monitor WIP and provide billing analysis and reporting
- Drive process improvements, e-billing initiatives, and system upgrades
About You
- Strong Aderant knowledge (non-negotiable)
- Extensive law firm billing experience with international exposure
- Solid VAT and European billing knowledge
- Confident, hands-on manager comfortable working with senior Partners
- Detail-driven, commercially minded, and a true team player
- Candidates from related finance areas (e.g. credit control) will be considered if they have strong Aderant and international billing experience.
