Join Our Team as a Face to Face Fundraiser! JM Fundraising Ltd is looking for passionate and committed Fundraisers to join our expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity to represent one of the most respected and well-loved hospices in the Plymouth area, St Lukes Hospice Plymouth.
About St Lukes Hospice: St Lukes Hospice Plymouth is an independent charity that provides specialist care, advice, and support to people living with progressive, life-limiting illnesses across Plymouth, South West Devon, and East Cornwall. Their mission is simple yet powerful: to ensure everyone has access to high-quality end-of-life care, wherever they are. Working closely with the local community and partner organisations, St Lukes Hospice is dedicated to delivering compassionate care that promotes dignity, comfort, and choice for patients and their families.
The Role: As a Fundraiser, you will play a vital role in supporting the hospice's work by engaging directly with the public and securing ongoing financial support. Your responsibilities will include:
- Speaking with members of the public to encourage regular donations or sponsorship
- Working as a Face-to-Face Fundraiser, either door-to-door and/or at venues and events
- Building meaningful connections and communicating the hospice's mission effectively
- Promoting lottery and regular giving programmes to generate long-term support
This role is ideal for individuals with experience in sales (e.g. utilities), fundraising, or face-to-face marketing. However, no formal qualifications are required - we provide full training, including compliance, fundraising regulations, and in-depth charity knowledge.
What We're Looking For:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive, self-motivated attitude
- Previous experience in sales or fundraising (preferred but not essential)
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
