Reporting to the Head of Wealth Planning, the Wealth Planner is responsible for the provision of financial planning advice to our clients. The Wealth Planner will be accountable for providing advice in all the main areas of financial planning, with a focus on retirement and estate planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the delivery of superior Wealth Planning advice to the Firm’s clients.
- Deal professionally and capably with clients and exceed their expectations with the advice and service provided.
- Collaborate with the Investment Managers to seize opportunities and grow the business.
- Communicate and present effectively to clients and colleagues.
- Effective delegation of workflow to the Wealth Planning administrator.
- Case management using a financial planning Client Relationship Management system.
- Get involved in initiatives to enhance what we do and our client proposition.
- Maintain a thorough technical knowledge and awareness of latest developments in the Wealth Planning industry.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Ideally educated to Degree level (2:1 or above).
- At least two years' experience working as a financial planner in the Financial Services industry.
- Proven track record in delivering regulated financial advice to High Net Worth clients.
- Financial planning qualifications essential (Chartered Financial Planner).
- Possess advanced Chartered Institute of Insurance pension qualifications such as AF3 Pension Planning.
- Holder of/Eligible for a Statement of Professional Standing (SPS) and demonstrating a commitment to ongoing compliance with the obligations of an SPS Holder including meeting annual evidential CPD requirements.
- GCSE Maths and English Language (grade C or above essential).
- Trained in the Microsoft suite of products especially Excel and financial planning Client Relationship Management and Quotation software.
- Client-centric.
- Combination of commercial focus and sound technical knowledge.
- Energetic, desire to get involved and contribute.
- Confident communication and presentation skills including good written and verbal skills.
- Professional and can-do attitude. Willing to embrace being part of a new team and encourage/mentor others.
