Fully Remote | Flexible | Existing Small Caseload Available

I am looking for an experienced residential conveyancer to join my existing and growing conveyancing consultancy and brand on a self-employed basis and supported by a fantastic team. This is an opportunity for an experienced conveyancer who would like the freedom and flexibility of consultancy without necessarily having to start with an empty caseload.

There is an immediate overflow caseload of shared ownership transactions available to the successful consultant (5-10 per month), so substantial previous experience of shared ownership conveyancing is essential. Alongside the work provided, you will be encouraged to develop your own client base and introduce residential conveyancing work of your own. Your own work does not need to be shared ownership. You are welcome to develop a residential property offering suited to your own experience, contacts and interests. This could include sales and purchases, freehold and leasehold transactions, new-build work or other areas of residential conveyancing within your experience.

Who I'm Looking for: You may be a Licensed Conveyancer, Solicitor, CILEX lawyer or an experienced non-qualified conveyancer. Formal qualification is welcomed but is not essential. What matters is that you have substantial experience of running residential conveyancing transactions and are fully conversant with shared ownership work. You should be comfortable managing your own files and clients, working independently and taking responsibility for progressing matters efficiently, while recognising when a matter requires discussion or escalation. Supervision will be provided where required.

How it works: This is a genuine self-employed consultancy opportunity, rather than an employed conveyancing position. You will have:

  • an existing caseload of shared ownership work provided and continuing (approx 5-10 per month) and the opportunity to introduce and develop your own residential conveyancing work;
  • flexibility over how you structure your working day;
  • support and supervision provided;
  • the ability to develop your own client and introducer relationships;
  • the backing of the systems and regulatory infrastructure within which the consultancy operates.

Remuneration will be on an agreed fee-share basis, with the structure discussed openly with suitable candidates. The arrangement could particularly suit an experienced conveyancer who has considered consultancy but has been reluctant to make the move without an existing source of work, or someone already working independently who would like to add a reliable stream of conveyancing matters to their practice.

Essential: Strong previous shared ownership conveyancing experience is essential. If you're interested, please get in touch confidentially with a brief summary of your conveyancing experience, particularly your shared ownership experience, and what you're looking for from a consultancy opportunity!
