Role Description: Supporting the Senior Packaging Technologist across Beauty & Home Fragrance New Product Development, delivering innovative, safe, sustainable and cost-effective packaging solutions. Working closely with Project Managers, Design, Quality and external suppliers, you’ll support packaging development from concept to launch, ensuring all packaging meets brand, customer, sustainability and legislative requirements within the critical path.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support new packaging development including sourcing, innovation, cost-saving projects, print proofs and colour standards.
- Review and approve artworks against cutter guides, print specifications, FSC and recycling requirements (OPRL compliant).
- Research packaging trends, materials and innovations; maintain packaging sample library.
- Support sustainability initiatives including material reduction, recyclability and PCR content.
- Prepare and issue technical briefs, packaging specifications, testing and production documentation.
- Ensure packaging meets brand, regulatory and quality standards across all partners.
- Maintain packaging specifications, technical drawings, artwork approvals and packaging waste data.
- Assist with pre-contract, contract and production seals.
- Support troubleshooting of packaging quality issues and technical queries.
Qualifications:
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Confident communicator with high attention to detail.
- Passion for beauty, packaging, materials and product development.
- Interest in sustainability, trends and packaging innovation.
