Role Overview: Our client is seeking experienced Cable Jointers to join their Electric Power Distribution team. Responsibilities: – Work on HV & LV networks, performing jointing, cabling, and excavation work on both a pre-planned and quick response basis. – Ensure safety for yourself and colleagues, promoting a strong safety culture. – Respond promptly to emergency situations to provide exceptional service to customers in need. – Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including out-of-hours standby duties and short notice attendance for storm situations. – Act as a strong ambassador for our client, delivering excellent customer service at all times. Requirements: – Recognised cable jointing qualification in either LV, HV, 11kV, or 33kV from a reputable training institution, with a proven track record in construction, repair, and operation of electrical plant and equipment up to 11kV on DNO networks. – A flexible approach to out-of-hours stand-by duties and short notice work during severe weather. – A high regard for safety, strong communication skills, the ability to convey technical information clearly, enthusiasm, and a flexible approach to work. – Experience in excavating joint holes with hand tools and using a mini excavator (training can be provided if necessary). – A full UK driving licence About the Client’s Business: The client powers 3.8 million homes and businesses across central southern England and northern Scotland.
