In the Manufacturing team at JLR’s Electric Propulsion Manufacturing Centre (EPMC), you’ll help power iconic electric cars. The Electric Propulsion Manufacturing Centre (EPMC) is a brand‑new state‑of‑the‑art production facility to produce the next generation of propulsion systems to power the future vehicles of the JLR Brand. Delivering a premium product, the production operations team will establish, introduce and develop the new facility to ensure a first‑class service to our customer base. Ultimately responsible for producing propulsion systems to a world‑class standard.

What To Expect

In this role, you will act as a key leader for battery technologies within the Operations team, running a team of Process Leaders, Team Leaders and associates within the production facility at the EPMC. The Senior Process Leader will not only manage the team, but will also be responsible for fostering teamwork and continuous improvement, acting as a role model for the Code values, and leading the SQDCPE agenda for the area.

  • Own daily, weekly, and monthly shift performance reporting, providing clear insights and report out to senior management.
  • Prioritise and coordinate operational activities on a shift by shift basis to ensure seamless production flow.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Shift Process Leaders to consistently achieve SQDCPE objectives.
  • Ensure robust problem solving and corrective actions are implemented to prevent recurrence and enhance process reliability.
  • Lead constraint management across the value stream, identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions to eliminate inefficiencies.
  • Ensure the area operates in full alignment with Global Manufacturing System (GMS) principles and standards.
  • Apply Quality Operating System (QOS) methodologies to deliver benchmark performance and drive operational discipline.

What You’ll Need

  • Understanding and good knowledge of safety processes and safe systems of work.
  • Ability to interrogate and interpret data, required for problem solving.
  • A flexible approach to cope with frequent change and to ensure efficient running of the operation.
  • Evidence of leadership ability and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in leading and coordinating large groups of people in high volume or high complex processes.
  • Understanding of GMS/ CI/ Quality Tools and Techniques/ CCAR process/ PDCA/ Finance and Budget control.
