As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll play a central role in how data flows across JLR’s propulsion operations. You’ll design and deliver solutions that turn complex datasets into meaningful insights, helping teams improve quality, efficiency and performance. What To Expect

You’ll work at the heart of manufacturing and digital teams, connecting data, people and technology. With end‑to‑end ownership of dashboards and data pipelines, you’ll help shape how decisions are made across the business while crafting your technical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Designing and automating data pipelines to streamline reporting and reduce manual effort across propulsion operations
  • Building and maintaining dashboards using Power BI, Tableau and SAP data to deliver clear, actionable insights
  • Extracting, cleansing and validating data from systems such as SAP to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Collaborating with engineering, manufacturing and quality teams to define data requirements and improve workflows
  • Supporting data governance and resolving data issues to enhance reliability and decision‑making

What You’ll Need

  • Demonstrating experience in data analysis and architecture within a manufacturing environment
  • Using tools such as SQL, Python, Power BI and Tableau to analyse and visualise complex datasets
  • Working with data platforms such as SAP, Google Cloud or BigQuery to manage and transform data
  • Applying strong data validation, cleansing and reporting practices with attention to detail
  • Communicating complex data clearly while collaborating across technical and non‑technical teams
