In the Manufacturing team at JLR’s Electric Propulsion Manufacturing Centre (EPMC), you’ll help power iconic electric cars. You will be working alongside incredible technicians and leaders to drive our commitment to shape a future we truly believe in, together. The Electric Propulsion Manufacturing Centre (EPMC) is a brand new state of the art production facility to produce the next generation of advanced engines to power the future vehicles of the Jaguar Land Rover brand. Powertrain Production Operations is responsible for the manufacture of the new JLR engine to support the next generation of JLR vehicles. Delivering a premium product, the production operations team will establish, introduce and develop the new facility to ensure a first class service to our customer base. Ultimately responsible for producing engines to a world class standard.

What To Expect

  • Inspire, lead, and develop shift teams, coaching them towards achieving outstanding SQDCPE results and living the Creators’ Code every day.
  • Provide strong operational leadership across production, maintenance, and team leaders to deliver all quality and output objectives.
  • Oversee and prioritise maintenance activities, ensuring equipment readiness and supporting smooth, uninterrupted operations.
  • Champion constraint management, identifying bottlenecks and driving improvements that streamline the end‑to‑end value stream.
  • Embed Global Manufacturing System and Safety Operating System standards, ensuring flawless operational execution across launch, ROC, and steady state production.

What You’ll Need

  • Proven leadership in complex manufacturing environments.
  • Understanding of safety systems and production processes.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and data analysis capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production planning tools.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., IPS, PDCA, CCAR).
