Role Summary: Working in Manufacturing at JLR, you will be the hands-on expert who brings innovation to life. You will collaborate with a team of expert technicians and problem-solvers and use cutting-edge tools, facilities, and processes engineered together to build era-defining vehicles that people across the world know and love. Your expertise will directly impact the shaping of modern luxury.
Responsibilities:
- Accountable for the delivery of Infrastructure Projects within GME Manufacturing plants, using both internal and external contractor base.
- Drive a “Zero Harm” approach to safety in our designs and contractor performance.
- Oversee civil works, structural steel works, mechanical & electrical works and general facility fit-outs.
- Support the wider business planning, in scheme reviews, budget cost creation and justifications.
- Support the GME Infrastructure Manager in developing key stakeholder relationships ensuring that GME is the primary source of all Infrastructure works; this includes stakeholders outside GME.
Qualifications:
- Multiskilled and rounded delivery Engineers with experience in the full project lifecycle (conception through completion).
- Experience in contractor management and site installations to deliver benchmark site safety performance.
- Clear understanding of site safety and safety legislation (CDM 2015 Reg, etc).
- Excellent knowledge of infrastructure methods, materials and skill requirements.
- Evidence of trade associations, professional bodies or competency certificates relevant to the discipline.
