What To Expect
As an SVO Paint Technician, you’ll be responsible for preparing, painting, and polishing bodies, plastics, and carbon fibre panels to the highest standards. You’ll work on unique, non-standard vehicles that demand exceptional attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Prepare and mask panels for paint application
- Mix and apply paint finishes including Gloss, Satin, and Matte
- Polish bodies and plastics to mirror finish and WCPA standards
- Paint carbon fibre panels and non-commissioned “1 of 1” vehicles
- Work on non-standard production vehicles
- Maintain high standards of Health & Safety and 5S compliance
- Collaborate with a team of experts to deliver exceptional results
What You’ll Need
We’re looking for a passionate, detail-oriented professional who takes pride in their work and thrives in a collaborative, high-performance environment. You’ll be proactive, adaptable, and committed to delivering perfection on every project.
- City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Automotive/Engineering (Body & Paint)
- Proven experience in body and plastic preparation, paint, and polish
- Strong problem-solving skills in technical paint application
- Experience working to show car standards
- Ability to understand and execute complex repair processes
- Excellent attention to detail and quality
- Willingness to learn and support others in a team environment
