Responsibilities

  • Operate effectively under limited supervision, confidently managing routine tasks and responsibilities.
  • Provide hands‑on support, mentoring, and training to junior team members to enhance overall team capability.
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of quotations for remedial works, ensuring projects are seen through to completion.
  • Ensure all contractual services are delivered in line with agreed KPIs and quality standards.
  • Work collaboratively with the Site Supervisor to support business improvement initiatives and operational goals.
  • Contribute to process improvements by identifying opportunities to increase efficiency and service quality.
  • Maintain a flexible and proactive approach to meet changing business needs and operational priorities.

Qualifications

  • Hold City & Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent) in Carpentry, demonstrating a solid technical foundation.
  • Experienced in general building maintenance duties across a variety of environments.
  • Knowledgeable in the installation, inspection, and maintenance of fire doors to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations within building environments, ensuring safe working practices at all times.
  • Presentable, approachable, and proactive, with a positive ‘can‑do’ attitude when engaging with clients and colleagues.
  • Effective team player with the ability to also work independently using own initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills, combined with a willingness to learn and undertake further training as required, and flexibility including holding (or working towards) a full driving licence.
