What To Expect As a member of the Assisted & Automated Driving Domain within JLR’s Digital Product Platform groups, you will interface with global internal engineering groups as well as external vendors to build up, commission and release development engineering assets. Working as part of a small team your contributions will have a direct impact on the realisation and release of the fleet of vehicles used to make product development goals a realisation for our customers. Build, Commission and Maintain a set of Assisted and Automated Driving pre-production engineering assets, including vehicles, development Rigs (hardware in the loop) and vehicle compute devices. Act as a key point of contact for product development teams, providing support by procuring, updating, and modifying engineering assets to support product development and engineering evaluation. Co-ordinate with internal stakeholders globally for efficient and timely asset turnover and refresh to ensure up to date hardware and vehicles that meet forward-looking project requirements. Support internal stakeholders, third party vendors, and other technical stakeholders in maintaining engineering assets off-site and on-site, acting as a key technical point of contact. Installation and ongoing maintenance of measurement equipment including external sensors, logging units and recorders. Please see below some of the key skills needed for this position: Strong technical expertise and experience of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) features, including sensors, compute, and actuators. Extensive experience in vehicle logging using tools such as CANalyzer and CANape. Hands On experience of building up ADAS development vehicles including radar, camera, lidar and GPS (Global Positioning System) against a set specification. Experience in using Vector tools such as Flexray, CAN, and Ethernet. Previous experience with Linux OS and command-line interface. Creating Modern Luxury requires a modern approach to work.
