Join JLR Motorsport as a Motorsport Events Specialist - Defender Rally!
We’re looking for an Events Executive to support the delivery of high-quality experiences for the Defender brand as it enters an exciting new phase in motorsport. This role sits within JLR Motorsport, part of the Corporate Affairs and Motorsport (CA&M) function, which leads the planning and execution of motorsport programmes for both Jaguar and Defender.
The Defender Rally Team will compete in the FIA World Rally-Raid Championship from January 2026. As part of this growing programme, the Events Executive will work closely with the Events Manager and wider team to deliver brand-aligned events and activations at race locations and beyond. The role involves collaboration with senior stakeholders and contributes directly to how the Defender brand is experienced by key audiences.
We’re looking for someone with relevant experience, strong organisational skills, and a proactive approach. A background in motorsport, luxury events, or brand experience is desirable. The role involves international travel and offers the opportunity to work as part of a close-knit team focused on delivering high standards across all touchpoints.
WHAT TO EXPECT
In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality outcomes and supporting the wider team through a range of responsibilities, including –
- Curate and deliver world-class luxury experiences and activations both at and away from race events, tailored for diverse stakeholders including prospects, partners, suppliers, global media, and senior JLR leadership
- Support the briefing, design, and creation of physical and digital experiential assets to enhance technical storytelling across all touchpoints
- Assist with the selection and onboarding of event agencies and staffing, ensuring seamless execution of activations
- Collaborate with the Corporate Events Executive to deliver premium experiences for VIPs, prospects, and partners at Prodrive Technical HQ (Banbury) and JLR Commercial HQ (Gaydon)
- Liaise with global market teams to coordinate operational delivery, activation planning, and attendance, while maintaining regular communications and documentation
- Work alongside the Partnerships team to fulfil contractual obligations, including race attendance, meetings, and events, ensuring brand alignment and compliance
- Manage event logistics, guest documentation, budget administration, and reporting, including overseas race support for up to three-week periods
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
We’re looking for someone with the right blend of experience, qualifications, and practical skills, including –
- Proven expertise in event management, with extensive experience delivering high-quality, brand-aligned programmes across complex projects and operational environments
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and suppliers to ensure seamless execution of events and activations
- Demonstrated capability in end-to-end project management, from initial briefing through to delivery and post-event reporting, with a focus on continuous improvement
- Exceptional attention to detail and communication skills, both written and verbal, ensuring clarity, professionalism, and precision in all outputs
- Highly adaptable and resilient under pressure, with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively and maintain high standards in fast-paced environments
- Willingness and ability to travel both domestically and internationally, with a full driving licence and flexibility to support events on location as required
- Experience in motorsport is advantageous but not essential; a passion for delivering premium experiences and working within dynamic, multi-supplier ecosystems is key
