Shift Pattern: Rotational Shift Pattern applies (Mornings, Evenings, Nights) with shift permia + overtime availability

Location: Solihull

Working in Manufacturing at JLR, you’ll be the hands-on expert who brings innovation to life. You’ll collaborate with a team of expert technicians and problem-solvers and use cutting-edge tools, facilities, and processes engineered together to build era-defining vehicles that people across the world know and love. What To Expect:

  • Provide technical support to the maintenance team focusing on safe and efficient production performance delivery.
  • Lead teams through complex problem solving and project improvements such as planning equipment upgrades and machinery modifications, identifying faults and investigating equipment breakdowns.
  • Equipment performance monitoring (improving cycle times and production efficiencies).
  • Manage, plan and develop facility improvements or changes through the facility change process ensuring the correct JLR standards are maintained and controlled.
  • Provide technical expertise to resolve equipment failures.
  • Develop and train others, create training plans that include delivery of technical, safety and process training programs.

What You’ll Need:

  • You’ll have a depth of experience where you are the expert in maintenance operations within a highly automated manufacturing facility.
  • Time served engineering apprentice with recognised electrical qualifications.
  • High level of technical knowledge on PLC’s, Pilz Safety Systems, Control Networking, Inverters and Drives.
  • Significant experience of resolving key constraints using a logical and effective approach to problem solving.
  • Able to lead, develop and engage a team through fault finding equipment failures and continuous improvement projects.

Applicants must have the right to work in the UK at the time of application, as this role is not eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship.
