The Inbound Freight department covers all Inbound Freight activities ranging from Optimisation, Planning, and Operations. The successful candidate will play a vital role in helping the department deliver a robust and cost-effective Inbound Freight solution whilst helping to develop process improvements and operational enhancements to deliver budgetary and operational objectives. Additionally, this role will work closely with our lead logistics provider to promote the service, drive responsiveness, and support the delivery of tactical improvements and step change projects.

What To Expect

  • Operational delivery of the Inbound Freight solution to our customers
  • Proactive approach to ensuring a high quality freight operation (internally and externally)
  • Ensure all lead logistics providers deliver the agreed contractual technical specifications and meet scorecard KPI targets
  • Lead & Support Freight Improvement projects
  • Effective relationships with the JLR Supplier base, driving supplier adherence to JLR standards

What You’ll Need

  • Understanding of Supply Chain Operations working processes / practises
  • Can work to tight deadlines and under pressure
  • Ability to communicate with both written and verbal, present and influence to a Senior level and external stakeholders
  • Highly organised, logical with attention to detail
  • Root cause analysis, driving empowerment in teams
