The Brand Strategy Manager translates the brand’s long‑range meaning, positioning and value logic into clear, actionable strategic frameworks that guide execution and support commercial decision making across the organisation.
Working closely with the Head of Brand Strategy, the role ensures brand intent is consistently understood, applied and protected across markets, functions and partners.
It plays a critical role in embedding brand thinking into day‑to‑day decision‑making and ensuring the brand remains distinctive, coherent and a driver of commercial performance.
There are 3 roles available across Range Rover, Jaguar and Discovery.

Here’s a summary of the key responsibilities
- Translate brand strategy into clear, actionable frameworks, principles and toolkits that can be consistently applied across regions, functions and programmes
- Support the development and evolution of brand positioning, narrative and architecture, ensuring clarity of differentiation within the competitive landscape
- Ensure consistent, high‑quality application of brand strategy across all touchpoints, conducting regular audits and driving corrective actions where required
- Provide strategic direction and constructive challenge on key brand initiatives while developing and operating a robust brand governance system to ensure long‑term equity growth, commercial alignment & consistency
- Monitor cultural and customer dynamics to ensure frameworks and narratives remain relevant and distinctive within the luxury landscape
- Guide regions, agencies, internal teams on the interpretation and execution of brand strategy to ensure alignment
- Support senior stakeholders with clear, compelling and well-structured materials for alignment & decision-making
- Define and maintain a brand performance dashboard - partnering with GCI, Business Planning & Management, and Finance to track key KPIs and ensure the brand grows in the right places
- Act as a key evangelist of brand meaning across markets and functions - ensuring strategic intent is understood, applied and protected in day‑to‑day decision‑making
- Apply brand economics to strategy by maintaining a clear understanding of the brand’s equity, health and value drivers, using such insight to shape strategy, frameworks and governance to grow long-term brand value
- Assess and justify the commercial impact of strategic brand decisions and build commercially grounded business cases with Finance and Business Planning to ensure initiatives strengthen value creation
- Own the governance, quality and strategic integrity of all inputs feeding into WPP’s Brand Strategy AI agent, ensuring the system is trained on accurate, coherent and brand‑aligned strategic materials

- Apply creative and conceptual thinking to translate brand meaning into frameworks, narratives and experience principles that inspire cross‑functional and creative teams while maintaining strategic and commercial discipline
- Advanced storytelling and narrative skills, with the ability to influence analytical & creative audiences
- Strong stakeholder management that challenges, aligns & influences senior cross-functional teams
- Analytical mindset that can synthesise multiple inputs into clear actions and strategic direction
- Acute attention to detail with a strong sense of brand coherence, consistency and quality
- Strong communication & presentation skills, distilling complexity into clear, impactful messages
- Strong understanding of how AI agents consume, interpret and use strategic content, with the ability to curate training inputs, maintain quality control, and ensure outputs reinforce brand strategy
- Apply commercial acumen and brand economics to inform brand strategy, key brand activities, investment rationales and business cases that connect brand with commercial outcomes
- Able to synthesise different inputs into commercial narratives that explain how brand drives value
- Familiar with brand financial metrics, equity, KPIs and the underlying economics of luxury brands
