Requirements
- Significant experience providing high-quality, insightful analysis to drive the business.
- Significant experience working with data across Underwriting, Claims, and Finance within the London Market.
- Experience with SQL and related products.
- Understanding of data structures, including multi-dimensional data models and Kimball methodology, and experience extracting and using data to drive strategic decisions.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including advanced Excel.
- Financial services background and experience or knowledge of specialty insurance.
Responsibilities
- Document, develop, and communicate data and MI processes and solutions, working closely with Underwriting, Finance, FP&A, and business teams across the group.
- Use data and MI to provide proactive analysis that improves data integrity and business performance.
- Support data-focused projects across the business, including data migrations, systems upgrades, and broader data solutions.
- Support the existing BAU/KLO product group.
- Develop knowledge and expertise in modern cloud data warehousing approaches, architectures, and technologies.
- Work closely with the business to ensure processes are well understood and that associated data and reporting are documented and defined.
- Analyse data-related requirements and issues, providing options and specifications to support resolution.
- Identify data and reporting anomalies and provide insightful analysis for management attention.
- Build strong relationships with the business to develop a deep understanding of our data and data definitions, challenging these where required.
- Understand the drivers of business performance, identify trends and opportunities, and influence the implementation of initiatives to address them.
- Help develop effective analytics tools and associated datasets to support commentary and analysis requirements.
