As a Vehicle Technician in one of our workshops, you'll mostly be repairing and maintaining our fleet of delivery vehicles, ensuring they are safe and roadworthy to both VOSA and Partnership standards. You’ll be working with many experienced technicians who will ensure you have all the tools you need to succeed and excel in your role, giving you the opportunities to develop your knowledge and progress your career.

In addition to your contractual pay, any time worked between 18:00 - 22:00 will attract an Evening Premium at a rate of £3.00 per hour, and any time worked between 22:00 - 06:00 will attract a Night Premium at a rate of £4.00 per hour.

Salary: The salary offered for this role is up to £55,000, depending on skills and experience, plus overtime is readily available.

Working Hours: Full time role, 37.5 hours per week on a 2 week rota, plus working 1 in 4 Saturday mornings, at premium overtime rate.

  • Week 1: Monday to Friday - 06:00-14:00
  • Week 2: Monday to Friday - 14:00-22:00

What you'll be doing:

  • You’ll be working on our large HGV fleet. It will be your job to ensure all vehicles are maintained to a safe and roadworthy standard to both DVSA and Partnership’s requirements.
  • Ensuring that relevant sections of all inspections, services and defect sheets are completed in compliance with our ‘O’ Licence obligations, administration and accurate reporting using our fleet management programme Key2.
  • You’ll be aware of best practices and current commercial vehicle repair techniques, to ensure high-quality repairs are carried out in a cost-effective manner and that the use of spare parts and consumables reflect the level of work carried out.

Our Vehicle Workshop is growing and you’ll be working with many experienced Partners. Our current technicians will ensure you have all the tools you need to perform effectively and thrive in your role, giving you the opportunities to develop your knowledge and progress your career. You’ll also be around to offer guidance and support the development of our apprentices within the workshop too, allowing you to share your own knowledge and experience for the growth of the team.

Working in our Vehicle workshop is a fun and collaborative environment. As a co-owned business, all of our Partners work together to ensure all goals are fulfilled and that everyone in the team is a part of that success.

Essential Experience/Qualifications required:

  • City and Guilds Level 3 Vehicle technician or equivalent qualifications
  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence
  • A proven background in transport commercial vehicle repairs
  • Knowledge of commercial vehicle legislation and roadworthiness

Desirable Skills:

  • IRTEC
  • LGV C+E Driving Licence
