What This Job Involves
We are looking for an expert in site acquisition to find and acquire locations for TT&C sites to deliver Ground Gateway locations across the Middle East and North Africa for one of our largest clients. In this role, you will work with our client on vetting, negotiating, and establishing land leases, teleports, and utilities with local vendors. You will collaborate with a team to carry out the operational aspects of the business and execute the contracts to complete the transactions. This position requires an energetic, detail-oriented professional with strong project management, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills, and experience managing real estate strategies and transactions across the Middle East and North Africa. You will deliver a range of possible real estate solutions based on client needs in these locations.
About You
You are excited about negotiating complex and technical legal agreements, and managing regulatory compliance to acquire land sites. You can work both independently and collaboratively in ambiguous situations, with the expertise to evaluate infrastructure supply options. You have demonstrated ability to negotiate multiple contracts from business and technical perspectives and to navigate the African real estate environment and technical challenges to acquire new land sites. You have deep knowledge of the commercial real estate world, helping to navigate local nuances and clearly communicate back to the client.
Responsibilities
- Execute the strategic terrestrial site infrastructure plans for infrastructure locations.
- Navigate contracting, legal, regulatory, engineering, and technician teams to accomplish site acquisition.
- Collaborate and advise on domestic and international business strategy to leadership.
- Create and present client documents, presentations, and reporting.
- Assess candidate ground station technical feasibility and provide options back to the client.
- Execute contractual, legal, and regulatory review of ground station sites.
- Prepare and organize domestic and international regulatory licensing paperwork with the internal regulatory team.
Relationship management
You will build strong and sustainable working relationships with local, regional, and national vendors to help the client navigate real estate needs efficiently and productively.
Portfolio management
You will demonstrate a high level of proficiency in commercial real estate and portfolio management, with the ability to orchestrate complex activities across multiple countries, properties, and services to achieve goals.
Qualifications
You will have:
- 3+ years of real estate industry experience.
- 5+ years of experience leading business development, procurement, and financial analysis of complex deals.
- Ability to prepare, review, and negotiate global deal structures.
- Ability to negotiate complex legal agreements in conjunction with legal counsel.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Certified in program management.
- 3+ years in the telecom industry.
- Ability to prepare, review and negotiate deal structures.
- 2+ years of regulatory experience.
- Ability to speak Arabic and/or French.
- Detail oriented with a high sense of urgency and ability to deliver results.
- Self-starting, able to identify areas for improvement with minimal direction.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
