Overview
The Planning team advise public and private sector clients on all aspects of planning and development. Their goal is to maximise site or scheme value for clients and ensure proposals receive planning permission first time. With over 70 planning and development specialists in six locations across the UK, the team work collaboratively with colleagues across JLL to deliver strategic, commercially driven advice to ensure we achieve the best possible results for our clients. The team operates across residential, retail, office, industrial, education, leisure, and alternatives. Our graduate programme provides first-hand experience while working towards professional chartership with the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI).
During the programme you will be supported through the RTPI Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) and gain exposure to a variety of projects, helping develop your knowledge and skills. You will become a confident and capable planner and be ready to step into a qualified role within our Planning and Development team.
Your day-to-day
- Preparation of feasibility studies and site appraisals to assess development potential.
- Assist with the preparation and progression of planning applications.
- Organise and attend pre-application meetings with Local Planning Authorities.
- Liaise with Local Planning Authorities, multi-disciplinary external consultants and clients.
- Devise effective stakeholder engagement strategies and attend public consultations.
- Assist with making representations on emerging planning policy.

Qualifications
- GCSEs – C/4 grade or above in English and Maths (or equivalent)
- Degree – A combined RTPI accredited qualification, or \’spatial\’ and \’specialist\’ RTPI accredited qualifications (Master’s in Planning is included)
- Interest in planning and the property industry and how we can shape its future
- Ability to connect with others easily and build strong relationships
- Curious mindset to learn and grow with the team
- Right to work in the UK (permanent status, with no time restrictions). We are unable to sponsor visas, including Graduate Visas beyond the programme

Compensation
Estimated compensation for this position is £32,000. The salary listed is an estimate and not guaranteed. A salary offer will vary based on education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity, and market data. We prioritise wellness and offer a comprehensive benefits package.
