The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 € per year.

Reporting to: Operations Manager – Croydon Estate. The role supports the General Manager and Operations Manager in delivering operational management, improving asset performance through health & safety, service partner management, and budgetary control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing and maintaining operational procedures across the shopping centre.
  • Support regular centre inspections and liaise with retailers to address issues promptly.
  • Help manage service charge budgets and contribute to financial reporting.
  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure service delivery meets JLL's standards.
  • Contribute to sustainability initiatives and implement energy‑efficient practices.
  • Organise and conduct safety drills and emergency preparedness activities.
  • Create and maintain centre management documentation and reports; deputise for the Operations Manager in absence.
  • Act as Duty Manager when required.
  • Oversee delivery of all operational and facilities management for the asset.
  • Ensure compliance with insurers' requirements.
  • Liaise with JLL’s wider IFM team.
  • Prepare and deliver operational reports as required.
  • Develop and enforce centre emergency and business continuity plans.
  • Support scenario‑based emergency preparedness training.
  • Maintain an updated Occupiers Handbook.
  • Provide health and safety and operational inductions for new tenants during shop fit-out or first week.
  • Coordinate major works for landlords and help with shop fit‑plan approvals.
  • Act in accordance with the managing agent's Working Practices Manual.
  • Manage accident and incident reporting, insurance, and statutory procedures.
  • Motivate contractors to meet required standards.
  • Assist with procurement and invoice coding for service charge.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation.
  • Support tenant relations, fostering good communication and maintaining satisfaction.
  • Assist other duties reasonably requested by the General Manager.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail‑oriented with problem‑solving ability.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced retail environment.
  • Customer‑service oriented with a positive attitude.
  • Prior experience in retail or shopping centre management (preferred).
  • Knowledge of retail operations and tenant relations.
  • Familiarity with sustainability practices in retail environments.
  • Experience with property management software.
  • IOSH Managing Safely certification or equivalent.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations in public spaces.
