We have an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager to manage the lifecycle and extra works programme of assets on our North West Education PFI contract. Reporting to the Contract Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for the maintenance of the asset register and management of all works required to maintain all assets across the 12 properties across the contract.
Day to day duties for this role include but are not limited to:
- Manage all variation/change requests (Extra Works) from initiation through to completion, ensuring full compliance with PFI contract deliverables.
- Maintain comprehensive asset data management and invoicing processes in accordance with PFI payment mechanism schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of all contract variations and their impact on unitary charge calculations.
- Updating & tracking the variation register.
- Ensure all variations align with school operational requirements and do not compromise service delivery standards.
- Oversee all lifecycle works (planned and unplanned) including comprehensive planning, submission, scheduling, billing and budget forecasting processes.
- Coordinate lifecycle programmes with school calendar requirements to minimise educational disruption.
- Monitor lifecycle reserve funding and forecast future requirements in line with PFI financial models.
- Ensure CDM maintains full visibility of all works with mandatory sign-off procedures and regular progress updates throughout the lifecycle.
- Implement robust health and safety protocols suitable for operational school environments & coordinate with school safeguarding teams to ensure child protection requirements are met during all works.
- Liaise with JLL SME’s (H&S, Projects, Technical) for support with complex Projects.
- Conduct regular review and progress meetings for all variations and lifecycle works with school leadership, local authority, and SPV representatives.
- Ensure vendor management compliance with JLL policies and PFI contract specifications for both variation and lifecycle work streams.
- Maintain regular liaison with Technical Supervisor for all self-delivered Extra Works projects.
- Monitor budget performance against approved lifecycle and variation budgets.
- Manage specific variation inbox.
Essential skills, knowledge and experience:
- A trade qualification
- Previous experience of managing contractors
- Experience of Lifecycle projects and management
- Clean driving licence
- Have a positive ‘can do’ attitude
- Ability to work as part of a team
