Role: Quantity Surveying Graduate

Location: London

Start Date: 6th September 2027

Programme Duration: 2 to 3 years

Salary: £33,000

Contract Type: Permanent

What this job involves:

• Our graduate programme will provide you with first-hand experience while working towards a professional qualification.
• You’ll join us on a 2 – 3 year trainee programme and sit in our Cost Management team.
• You will be working towards a Chartered Quantity Surveyor by completing the Quantity Surveying route for the Assessment of Professional Competency (APC).
• Quantity Surveyors provide expert advice on construction costs, which is why they are also known as Cost Consultants or Cost Managers.
• Our team ensures that proposed projects are affordable and offer good value for money, so essentially, they hold the purse strings of the project.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• You’ll get involved in real work from day one that will help clients achieve their ambitions.
• You’ll help research and calculate design costs to create budget estimates.
• You’ll monitor project spend and help report on costs to ensure they are within budgets.
• You’ll visit sites to carry out site visits to check on project progress.
• You’ll help prepare reports and contract documents for clients.
• You’ll embrace technology, including our purpose-built applications that help us deliver real time cost management.
• You’ll research and keep up to date with relevant market insight and legislation that may impact our work.
• You’ll build relationships across our business and clients to ensure we deliver a great service.
• You’ll take part in regular training in business skills, technical knowledge, and professional development to support your growth.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Degree – Minimum 2:2 (predicted or achieved) in any discipline. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Quantity Surveying is desirable but not essential.
• Demonstrate a strong passion for Quantity Surveying.
• You’ll have an interest in the property industry and how we can shape its future.
• You’ll have a keen interest in emerging technologies and opportunities they bring to the profession.
• You’ll be confident in working with numbers with strong attention to detail and approach work in a methodical way.
• You’ll be able to connect with others easily and build strong relationships.
• You’ll be eager to grow in the role and develop your skills with us.
• You’ll have a curious mindset so you can learn and grow with us.
• You’ll want to contribute your thoughts, create fresh ideas, and challenge yourself to do more than you think you could.
