We are looking for a multi-skilled and proactive Fabric Technician to join our dynamic Workplace Management team at a prestigious client site in London. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for maintaining the physical fabric of the building to the highest standards, ensuring a safe, compliant, and first-class environment for our clients and their employees.
As a key member of the on-site facilities team, you will be the first point of contact for many maintenance issues. Your work will directly contribute to the seamless operation and pristine appearance of a world-class workspace.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a wide range of fabric-related maintenance and repair tasks, including but not limited to:
- Basic Carpentry: Repairing doors, windows, locks, furniture, and shelving
- Painting & Decorating: Conducting patch plastering, touching up paintwork, and small-scale decorating tasks to maintain aesthetic standards.
- General Building Upkeep: Replacing ceiling tiles, adjusting flooring, and repairing fixtures and fittings.
- Proven experience in a Fabric Technician, Handyperson, or multi-skilled maintenance role, preferably within a corporate or commercial facilities management environment.
- A broad technical skill set covering basic carpentry, painting, and general building repairs.
- A strong understanding of Health & Safety at Work practices (e.g., risk assessments, method statements).
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues effectively.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with a professional and approachable manner.
- Experience working in a high-end, client-facing environment where high standards are paramount.
