Core Hours: 08:00am - 18:00pm

- 5 days On - 3 days off x 4

Role Overview
An exciting opportunity to join our team as a Fabric Maintenance Engineer at Queensgate Shopping Centre! The main purpose of the position will be to carry out planned and reactive maintenance in accordance with JLL's PPM and task schedules.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Technical Maintenance Activities- General Carpentry
- Fire door maintenance and repair
- Weekly fire alarm testing
- Weekly tap flushing
- AHU Cleaning & Servicing
- Basic plumbing and drainage repairs
- Patch repairs to wall and floor tiling, carpets, lino & screeds
- Suspended ceiling repairs
- Shelving/racking installation and repairs
- Lock changes/repairs
- Painting & Decorating
- Undertake PPM activity in a quality, professional manner
- Work within the site's shift pattern requirements
- Carry out all works requested in a professional and proactive manner
- Undertake reactive maintenance works as directed by the Help Desk and/or management team
- Manage JLL sub-contractors whilst working on site
- Escalate any major site issues or incidents to your line manager as soon as possible once noticed
- Production of technical and situational reports as required
- Write activity reports in line with JLL procedures accurately and timely
- Always communicate clearly and effectively with the rest of the team and clients
- Provide accurate time sheet information weekly and on time
- Attend team meetings/briefings as requested
- Proactively use the technology systems provided so that JLL can be always compliant with its contractual obligations
- Proactively assist the management team to produce quotations by giving accurate and good quality information where extra works are identified
- Ensure that JLL is always presented in a good light
- Provide first line out of hours call out for the site
- Understand and be aware of the requirements of all relevant Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality legislation and be equally aware of your own roles and responsibilities within JLL
- Ensure that all materials and equipment are handled, stored, and used with due regard to the relevant Health, Safety and Environmental legislation
- Actively participate in the health and safety processes required under JLL policies and procedures including, but not limited to, accident investigation, reporting, risk assessments and auditing
- Co-operate with JLL to allow it to fulfil its moral and legal duties and obligations
- Undertake any other reasonable instruction from the Contract Manager or Line Managers (Additional training will be provided as necessary)
Technical Qualifications
- Fabric Engineer apprenticeship/ Carpentry & Joinery qualifications
- Proven post apprenticeship practical experience
Personal Skills
- Good communication & interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with all levels of staff
- Commitment to providing a high-quality service to our customer
- Willing to work flexibly and as a team member
- Ability to work overtime as required
- Proactive in achieving the highest standard of operation
- Good IT and report writing skills
- Ability to work under pressure whilst remaining calm, clear thinking and able to deliver the required services to the client within given time constraints
