We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sales & Solutions Director to join JLL and accelerate growth within the dynamic Data Centre sector. The primary purpose of this role is to coordinate the development of data centre solutions for prospective clients across critical digital infrastructure opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Sales & Solution Development
- Partner with Head of Sales and Solutions to execute strategic data centre opportunities (hyperscale, colocation, edge computing, mission-critical facilities)
- Manage multiple SMEs from JLL and technology partners through the complete bid process
- Coordinate custom teams to build data centre-specific staffing models, operational efficiency pathways, and power/cooling optimization strategies
- Develop winning value propositions tailored to uptime requirements, sustainability commitments (PUE, WUE, carbon reduction), and total cost of ownership
- Assess financial and operational risks related to data centre complexity, capacity planning, and regulatory compliance
- Partner with Operations, engineering SMEs, and marketing to deliver competitive, tailored solutions
- Support contracting process, ensuring alignment on SLAs, performance metrics, and data centre-specific terms
- Growth & Business Development
- Support Head of Sales and Solutions through all phases of the data centre sales process
- Lead development of data centre solutions incorporating critical infrastructure, capacity planning, and power/cooling management
- Own pro forma during RFP negotiations to validate scope and price changes on P&L
- Partner with Legal/Commercial to ensure all bid details make it into final agreements
- Identify additional sales opportunities including expansion capacity, sustainability services, predictive maintenance, and digital twin implementations
- Maintain thorough knowledge of competitive data centre management landscape
- Ensure best solutions, practices, and competitive pricing applied to every deal
- Participate in client discovery sessions to diagnose operational needs and customize technical/commercial approach
- Solution Coordination & Deliverables
- Own/support/coordinate these critical deliverables for RFP responses:
- Data centre site tours and technical facility assessments
- Integrated solution design (MEP systems, power distribution, cooling infrastructure, monitoring)
- Portfolio cost modelling specific to data centre operations (energy costs, maintenance, lifecycle planning)
- Financial pricing models (internal pro forma)
- Proposed organizational structure (critical facilities management, engineering teams, 24/7 operations)
- Scope clarification (mission-critical services, uptime commitments, response protocols)
- Technical and operational functional reviews
- Risk assessment and mitigation documentation for criticality levels and compliance requirements
