Reporting to: Technical Services Manager

Hours: 08:00-17:00 (Monday to Friday)

Position Concept: Integral UK Ltd are currently recruiting for an exciting role based at 20/22 Ropemaker Street, a new build, high rise property located in the Moorgate area. You will play a pivotal role within this contract by championing SMART building technologies and supporting the wider team with a "one team ethos" while ensuring we deliver our contractual obligations and deliver excellence through the exciting journey of this innovative building.

The SMART Systems Technician role is varied and offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of building technology innovation. This position requires the operative to develop an in-depth understanding of the BMS Tridium head end system and DesOps, while driving IoT solutions, building efficiency initiatives, and supporting our commitment to sustainability and wellness standards including WELL and BREEAM certifications.

Key Tasks Duties to include:

  • Champion and optimize the BMS Tridium head end system to maximize building performance and efficiency
  • Work with project teams to aid the installation, commissioning, monitoring, and optimization of SMART building technologies and IoT solutions
  • Provide detailed energy reports and analysis to support building efficiency objectives and ESG commitments
  • Work with the Ropemaker Property Management Team to manage the systems in a way to support WELL, BREEAM in Use and other recognised certifications
  • Work with the Ropemaker PMT and its Service Partners to maintain a cyber secure building from an Engineering Systems perspective
  • Integrate new SMART systems with existing building management platforms
  • Analyse building performance data to identify optimization opportunities and efficiency improvements
  • Close/update completed tasks on the site's CAFM system (Concept MRI Pro)
  • Ensure standards of workmanship are maintained to maximize operational effectiveness and reliability of SMART building systems
  • Assist specialist subcontractors with technology installations and system integrations
  • Ensure company QA and site procedures are adhered to in all aspects
  • Maintain accurate site records/documentation for all SMART systems and technology implementations
  • Carry out tasks within typical building environments, working from platforms and ladders as required. All access equipment and PPE will be provided
  • Keep and maintain all company-issued tools and equipment in a safe and serviceable manner
  • Proactively work towards continued innovation and support of the contract with a positive approach
  • Comply with Integral's Health, Safety and Environmental procedures, as detailed in site plans
  • Complete any other associated tasks requested by management

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience within a similar position in a maintenance or building technology environment
  • Understanding of building management systems and building automation principles
  • Proficiency with general software applications and data analysis tools
  • Knowledge of building efficiency principles and energy management
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to use computers effectively
  • Good Health and Safety awareness and knowledge
  • Capability to perform manual tasks, including working at heights when required
  • Knowledge of toolbox talks, Permit to Work procedures and safe systems of working

Desirable Requirements:

  • Electrical qualifications or experience
  • Understanding of IT infrastructure and networking principles
  • Experience with IoT technologies and smart building solutions
  • Knowledge of sustainability frameworks (WELL, BREEAM, ESG reporting)
