Role Purpose We are seeking a practical, self-motivated Mobile Fire Door Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for carrying out reactive maintenance, planned preventive maintenance (PPM), remedial works, and installations across commercial premises throughout the south of England. The role requires coordination with approved contractors, strong technical knowledge of fire door services, professional presentation, and the ability to provide technical advice when required. Main Duties and Responsibilities Fire Door Operations Carry out inspections, maintenance, and installation works on fire doors Perform reactive maintenance repairs across various contracts Complete planned preventive maintenance (PPM) tasks Provide detailed and accurate reports for remedial works required Update on-site log books for compliance purposes Complete certificates and documentation for all works Technical & Administrative Update and close completed reactive and PPM tasks on our CAFM system Assess and order parts and equipment necessary for individual tasks Complete on-site Method Statements and Risk Assessments as necessary Ensure engineering standards are maintained for maximum operational efficiency Work to recognized industry standards at all times Client & Safety Management Ensure company QA and site procedures are adhered to at all times Follow both client and JLL\βs Health and Safety procedures Inspect service conditions and proactively address call-outs/repairs Maintain all company-issued tools in safe and working condition Liaise and coordinate works with approved contractors Flexibility & Development Participate in flexible working hours and out-of-hours emergency cover Attend emergencies inside and outside normal working hours Undertake training including health and safety courses and trade development Assist other trades as required Undertake additional duties as directed by management within role scope Essential Qualifications & Experience Technical Requirements Trade background and qualifications (recognized qualification or apprenticeship) Extensive knowledge of building fabric services Comprehensive understanding of Health & Safety regulations Ability to work from smartphone and PDA systems Personal Attributes Self-motivated with ability to work unsupervised Ability to act on own initiative Smart, professional appearance Excellent written and verbal communication skills Adaptable and flexible approach to work requirements Comfortable working in team environments while following instructions Availability Must be available for call-outs and emergency response Flexible approach to working hours including evenings and weekends Willingness to travel across the south of England JLL Privacy Notice Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL), together with its subsidiaries and affiliates, is a leading global provider of real estate and investment management services.
