Join one of the UK's most iconic retail destinations as Finance & Data Manager for Bullring & Grand Central, Birmingham's premier shopping destinations. As Finance & Data Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the financial performance and strategic insights that keep these bustling retail environments at the forefront of the UK shopping landscape. Working within a dynamic property management environment, you will combine traditional finance expertise with data analytics to support decision-making across operations, leasing, marketing, and asset management.

This role is based in Birmingham with excellent transport links and offers an opportunity to translate complex data into actionable insights that enhance tenant success and customer experience across these award-winning destinations.

Responsibilities
  • Ownership, accountability and responsibility for data and finance within the Destination.
  • Contribute to and take an active role as a member of the Management Team.
  • Manage the service charge & car park budgets and produce accurate financial reports to specified deadlines.
  • Ensure effective management of car park financial performance and reporting in collaboration with the senior management team.
  • Understand the P&L components of the car park budget and present concepts/initiatives to contribute to efficient running of the business.
  • Deliver and report on car park net income targets as outlined in the business plan.
  • Drive additional income generation via commercialisation activities in conjunction with the client’s commercial team and optimisation of net operating car park income.
  • Reconcile car park income reports and ensure cash collections are reported in line with KPI requirements.
  • Provide monthly expenditure reporting of budget and completion of FVRs.
  • Service charge management and reporting including processing invoices, budgeting, expenditure, and reconciliation.
  • Support the Destination Director in the preparation of the service charge budget.
  • Maintain budget expenditure and records, invoice/purchase order tracking and reporting of expenditure.
  • Report to the Client as required, prioritising requests from the Destination Director or Operations Manager and maintaining a professional response.
  • Oversee management of Proactis, footfall and car park information systems to support timely and accurate accounts and statistical returns.
  • Manage the year-end audit process and provide information to auditors within the specified KPI scope.
  • Deputise during the absence of the Destination Director or Operations Manager.
  • Compliance with all Company procedures including financial and administration duties.
  • Develop and maintain strong positive relationships with key business and community contacts.
  • Compile regular reports to the Destination Director and Client.
  • Develop and implement procedures to gain greater efficiency and savings across service charge areas.
  • Support health and safety systems, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Attend Occupier Meetings and record notes or actions.
  • Ensure H&S platforms, permits, CAFM systems, SharePoint and other management platforms are kept up to date and actions managed appropriately.
  • Support the Destination Director and Operations Manager in overseeing all accident and incident reporting, including insurance and statutory forms and procedures; manage system updates and reporting.
  • Assist in ensuring third-party contractor staff and tenants are aware of H&S procedures and comply with Destination procedures.
  • Develop and progress potential and actual insurance claims with the Operations Manager, including reporting RIDDORs to HSE where appropriate.
  • Support compliance with energy procurement, Health & Safety (ISO45001) and environmental management (ISO14001) and ensure utility costs are managed effectively without compromising service quality.
  • Prepare supporting documentation for audits and liaise with auditors to successful completion.
Qualifications
  • Preferably professional accounting qualifications (such as AAT or CIMA), a relevant degree (UK), or equivalent credentials demonstrating financial knowledge and skill.
  • Experience in leading, coaching, and developing team members.
  • Experience of budget management.
  • Experience of P&L management.
  • Relevant Degree standard.
  • Proficient decision maker.
  • Experience of presenting.
  • Ability to innovate & implement new systems and processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Knowledge of GDPR.
