The Client Finance Director is a senior leader overseeing the finance function for a key client account. In this role, the Client Finance Director will be business partnering the EMEA Account Director and have direct responsibility for leading the EMEA finance team. The role will report into the Group Account Finance Director and matrix into the Global Finance Director for the account.

The Client Finance Director will be the financial liaison between the JLL Operational Team and the Client, leading the implementation of processes designed to ensure the appropriate level of accuracy, tracking and control over the operating expenses and capital expenditures of the client account. The Client Finance Director will also be responsible for SOX and accounting compliance, and all JLL corporate finance deliverables including budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis, providing early insights to the Group Account Finance Director and Regional Head of Finance.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Direction and Management
    • Provide clear direction and strategic financial advice to the JLL team working on the Client.
    • Liaise with and support the Client’s primary financial managers/units.
    • Ensure the Finance team is structured to maintain and exceed the client’s financial expectations.
    • Develop and maintain all relevant policies and procedures with respect to all financial and support services associated with the Client.
    • Implement all new processes and procedures as required by JLL.
  • Relationship Management
    • Be proactive in developing and managing client/business unit relationships ensuring that the expected service levels are achieved across the region.
    • Encourage an environment that supports teamwork, financial transparency, cooperation and performance excellence across the region.
    • Manage the EMEA finance team: tasks and goals, development and coaching, performance review and compensation planning, succession plans. Ensure high staff morale, trust, and work ethics.
  • Budgeting and Reporting – both Corporate and Client
    • Support the EMEA finance activities and coordinate the finance teams regionally.
    • Prepare the annual budget in conjunction with the JLL and client team finance teams.
    • Provide accurate and timely financial information to all members of the management team, in particular monthly/quarterly reports and full year forecasts.
    • Develop, maintain and deliver the Client’s approved financial reports in a timely manner.
    • Coordinate and track the cost savings initiatives and KPI reporting for the EMEA region.
  • Data Management, Policies and Procedures, Audit
    • Guarantee the data integrity of the systems across the region and perform regular audits.
    • Ensure the appropriate processes and systems controls are in place and maintained to guarantee the integrity of all transactions.
    • Design, implement, document, and maintain policies and procedures that support efficient and effective financial processes, while maintaining strong internal controls in compliance with SOX requirements (including Cash and Balance Sheet reconciliations).
    • Ensure all finance staff are well trained on the financial systems.
Requirements
  • CPA and/or MBA preferred, with 10 to 15 years of senior financial leadership experience, in an international environment.
  • Understanding of and commitment to business partnering and client service. Demonstrated experience in direct and indirect relationship management.
  • Financial competency at both a strategic and detailed level of operation. Strong accounting and analytical skills.
  • Fluency in English is essential; Outstanding communication and presentation abilities (to internal and external parties) are required.
  • Excellent computer skills including proficiency in MS Suite, ERP (JD Edwards, PeopleSoft…), BI tools (Tableau, Power BI…)
  • A desire to work within a diverse, collaborative, and driven professional environment.
