Role Purpose
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Technician in Bournemouth. The Technician will implement Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, small projects, and help desk calls, in accordance with both client and JLL requirements. They will also monitor the building operational function, issue permits to work for all specialist vendors, and carry out appropriate isolations via LOTO.
What This Job Involves
- Taking responsibility for the maintenance and reactive repairs of Electrical, Fire life safety, and Mechanical building services and associated equipment.
- Liaising with admin staff to ensure timely closures and completions for PPM and reactive tasks.
- Reporting all engineering activity and incidents to the Supervisor.
- Ensuring all PPM activities are completed within set SLA schedules, adhering to engineering standards and in-country regulations to maximize operational effectiveness and reliability.
- Adhering to health and safety standards, including the Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA), and maintaining onsite quality assurance procedures.
- Responding promptly and effectively to reactive maintenance issues and help desk requests.
- Coordinating visiting specialist subcontractors and reviewing engineering reports and recommendations with the shift leader.
- Maintaining good relations with all building users and responding positively to requests or instructions.
Skills and Experience Required
- Electrical Apprenticeship.
- Knowledge of business-critical assets such as UPS, Emergency power Generation, Air conditioning systems, and Fire life safety.
- HSE accredited/recognized training.
- Experience with electrical and mechanical aspects of commercial building assets and systems.
- Understanding of cause and effect regarding building BMS controls.
- Proven track record in a similar role with a commitment to excellence.
- Excellent communication skills.
