Middleton Grange Shopping Centre is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Marketing Manager to lead all marketing activities for the centre. This is an exciting in-house role where you'll be responsible for promoting the centre, driving footfall, and enhancing our reputation as Hartlepool's premier shopping destination.
Key Responsibilities
- Marketing Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that increase footfall, dwell time, and sales across the centre. Plan and deliver seasonal campaigns, events, and promotional activities that engage customers and support our retail partners.
- Budget Management: Manage the marketing budget effectively, ensuring optimal return on investment across all activities. Track expenditure, report on campaign performance, and make data-driven recommendations for future spend allocation.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong working relationships with retail tenants, understanding their individual marketing needs and creating collaborative opportunities. Work closely with our commercialisation partners to maximize the impact of joint marketing initiatives and ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints.
- Multi-Channel Marketing: Oversee the centre's presence across all marketing platforms including social media, website, email marketing, local press, radio, outdoor advertising, and in-centre displays. Create compelling content that tells our story and showcases what makes Middleton Grange special.
- Events & Community Engagement: Collaborate with our commercialisation partner to plan and execute centre events that drive footfall and create memorable experiences for visitors. Develop partnerships with local organizations and community groups to strengthen our connection with Hartlepool.
- Performance Analysis: Monitor and report on marketing campaign performance, footfall data, and tenant feedback. Use insights to continuously improve marketing effectiveness and demonstrate clear ROI to stakeholders.
- Brand Management: Maintain and evolve the centre's brand identity, ensuring consistent messaging across all communications. Protect brand standards while keeping content fresh, relevant, and engaging.
Essential Requirements
- Experience in a marketing role, preferably within retail, shopping centres, leisure, or hospitality sectors.
- Strong understanding of both traditional and digital marketing channels.
- Excellent budget management skills with demonstrable experience managing marketing spend.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders including retailers, suppliers, and agency partners.
- Creative mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in social media platforms and content management systems.
- Competent user of Microsoft Office suite and marketing analytics tools.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK driving licence (desirable for supplier meetings and events).
