The EMEA Research & Strategy team is looking for a Research Manager to be based in London. Research is a key differentiator for JLL, helping to define it as the number one global real estate advisor. This is a highly client‑centric role with an international and commercial focus, actively contributing to investor research & strategy and focusing on real‑estate markets and capital trends.

  • Take a leading role in delivering specific Capital Markets‑oriented research
  • Assist in supporting internal strategic planning and execution
  • Build and sustain relationships with EMEA research teams and other JLL teams
  • Lead and manage core outputs for internal and/or external circulation
  • Respond to ad‑hoc research requests in a timely manner
  • Support Capital Markets business development activities
  • Actively manage and nurture relationships with clients and senior JLL stakeholders
  • Actively input into bespoke Investor Strategy mandates
  • Build a reputation as a trusted advisor, regularly engaging in client presentations
  • Seize speaking opportunities and contribute to PR and profile building opportunities

Qualifications:

  • A degree in economics, business management or a related subject
  • Interest and experience in analysing property markets and capital markets
  • Ability to understand and analyse economics & financial markets
  • A strong awareness of technology and its impact on people, space, place and capital
  • Clear bias towards continued innovation, data and digital
  • Experience analysing public and private real‑estate markets
  • Strong analytical mindset and skills, including financial analytics experience
  • Strong interpersonal, writing, presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to present complex ideas and concepts succinctly and clearly
  • Comfortable in speaking at internal/external events and promoting the JLL profile
  • Experience using research for client engagement and business development
  • A commercial, pro‑active and business‑oriented approach
  • A focus on providing clients with a high‑quality, high‑value service
  • Evidence of managing processes and projects
  • Advanced experience of using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience using Bloomberg, EPRA and other related sources
  • A self‑starter and team player
  • International experience
  • A second language

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of real estate valuation methods
  • Experience with statistical software (R, SPSS, eViews etc.)
  • Experience in producing investment strategy reports
  • Previous people management experience
  • Knowledge of one or more of the following sectors would be highly desirable:
