Overview
You will be responsible for the service, PPM and technical support of fire alarm systems.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop and progress your career within the fire engineering sector, working on the latest technology in fire alarms.
You will receive full training on our range of products via manufacturers, industry-recognised training courses or via our in-house product training facility.
Responsibilities
- Conduct servicing, PPM and technical support on fire alarm systems for our clients.
- Service and maintain Fire Alarm Systems – Addressable and conventional.
- Provide cover in other areas when required and stay away as needed.
- Provide a professional service at all times, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail, quality and customer service.
- Communicate effectively with customers/clients/internal colleagues.
- Work independently with little supervision but also as part of a team.
- Demonstrate reliability and punctuality.
Qualifications / Experience
- Proven and demonstrable experience in fire alarm systems maintenance (essential).
- Familiar with and understand BS5839 standards (essential).
- FIA or equivalent training is highly desirable.
- Hold a full UK Driving Licence (essential).

- Hours: 36.5 hours per week (Monday to Thursday 8:45 – 16:40, Friday 8:45 – 16:00).
- Call-out rota: 1 in 8 days. Standby allowance of £200 per week while on standby.
- Call-out rate: minimum of 3 hours for first call-out; overtime payable at time & a half Monday–Saturday and double time on Sundays & Bank Holidays; travel time paid after 1 hour.
