Responsibilities
- Leadership – work with the Head of Cost Management UK&I and key stakeholders to set the business plan for Development Cost Management in London and lead its delivery.
- Financial – take full responsibility for the financial performance of the team, including budgeting, profitability, productivity, billing and cash collection.
- Growth – collaborate with PDS and the wider business to develop a clear growth strategy, identify and secure new work, and promote an ambitious growth mindset.
- New Business Development & Service Establishment – actively source, bid for and win new development projects across London’s commercial development market; lead the establishment and mobilisation of cost management services for new clients, ensuring seamless delivery.
- Delivery – where necessary, lead on project delivery and foster a culture of high performance and innovation, promoting new technologies and AI.
- People & Culture – set tone, promote a culture of inclusivity, build team dynamic, pride, and belonging.
- Resourcing & Recruitment – manage resources, identify capability gaps, partner with recruitment to attract and recruit talent.
Business Development & Client Relationships
- Build and own relationships with key clients, promoting wider PDS offerings.
- Develop cross‑JLL relationships to maximise value, cross‑selling opportunities.
- Lead key pursuits/must wins and collaborate with the pursuits team.
- Own pipeline data ensuring accuracy of reporting.
- Attend industry events and conferences, with speaking slots where appropriate.
- Support marketing team on promotional materials and collateral, championing team capability and JLL brand.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience leading and growing Cost Management teams, creating a “one team” dynamic and building successful relationships with stakeholders.
- Recognised in the London market as a leader in the delivery of Cost Management services.
- Established business development network within London’s commercial development market with proven relationships across developers, investors, funds, and institutional clients.
- Experience and profile in the commercial development sector to drive the expansion of our Cost Management business.
- Demonstrated track record of sourcing, winning and mobilising cost management services on new development projects.
- Planning and successful execution of growth strategies.
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of financial metrics.
- Excellent interpersonal skills – confident with client interaction and giving presentations.
- Ability to interpret complex information, solve problems and bring forward solutions.
- Flexible and comfortable working in a multi‑stakeholder business.
- Proven ability to establish and deploy cost management services rapidly across diverse project types and client requirements.
