This apprenticeship offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in water treatment within a commercial setting. You will work alongside experienced professionals, receiving comprehensive training and mentorship to lay the groundwork for a successful career in water treatment and management. You will be studying towards a Level 3 Water Treatment Apprenticeship, delivered online. When not studying, you will work alongside our experienced team and may be expected to travel within a geographical region. Manage your time and commitments to complete assignments and deliver a valued role.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the monitoring and analysis of water quality to ensure safety and compliance with industry standards.
- Support Legionella awareness and other hygiene measures.
- Maintain and operate water treatment systems and equipment (filtration, softening, chemical dosing).
- Interpret technical specifications and water quality reports.
- Participate in site visits to evaluate treatment processes and implement improvements.
- Help troubleshoot issues and perform necessary adjustments or repairs to treatment systems.
- Develop an understanding of health and safety regulations and promote safe working practices.
- Assist senior engineers in conducting water treatment processes and system maintenance.
- Test water quality and interpret results.
- Help with the installation and repair of water treatment equipment.
- Maintain water treatment logs and records.
- Participate in regular training sessions and educational courses.
- Assist in customer service and communicate with clients.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five GCSEs at grade 4 or above, with a grade 5 in Maths.
- Enthusiastic and passionate about a career in engineering.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Good attendance, self-discipline and time-management; able to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
