We are seeking a reliable and skilled Domestic Water Treatment Engineer to join our team. The role involves carrying out water quality testing, maintenance, and treatment services in a corporate office. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, excellent customer service skills, and a commitment to ensuring safe, compliant domestic water systems.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct routine inspections, testing, and monitoring of domestic water systems, including cold water storage tanks, hot water cylinders, and point-of-use systems.
- Carry out disinfection, flushing, and cleaning of domestic water systems, including tanks, pipework, and filters.
- Identify risks related to Legionella and other waterborne contaminants and implement appropriate control measures.
- Complete detailed service reports, risk assessments, and compliance documentation.
- Advise customers on system improvements, maintenance schedules, and water hygiene best practices.
- Ensure all work complies with UK regulations, including ACOP L8, HSG274 Part 2, and relevant British Standards.
- Maintain tools and equipment to a high standard.
- Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally at all times.
- Experience in domestic water treatment, plumbing, or water hygiene (preferred).
- Knowledge of UK water regulations, Legionella control, and ACOP L8 guidance.
- Ability to diagnose issues within domestic water systems and recommend solutions.
- Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.
- Good communication and customer-facing skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Basic IT skills for completing digital reports and documentation.
