The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
This is a pivotal role overseeing our regional and national billing team across the UK. The person will help create and deliver strategic direction for all billing operations, ensuring our processes are efficient, accurate, compliant and targets are met, whilst developing high performing teams and driving constant improvements and efficiencies. This person will oversee a small internal team and ensure companywide billing requirements are achieved.
What you will be doing:
- Leading the Billing function and setting strategic goals and operational priorities.
- Driving process improvements and automation initiatives to streamline billing operations.
- Developing and implementing Billing SOP, international billing policies, procedures and best practices.
- Monitoring performance metrics, driving improvements, and delivering on KPIs to the National Service Director.
- Liaising directly with clients, senior management, technical teams and clients to resolve billing queries and ensure alignment with client billing guidelines as well as initial client onboarding.
- Ensuring compliance with global VAT Laws, International invoicing requirements by country, account rules and international financial controls and billing practices.
- Monitoring, strategizing and reducing Work in Progress across the business, working with key stakeholders across National Accounts to ensure we are always assessing and progressing billing opportunities in good timescales.
- Collaborating with finance, compliance and legal operations teams to support audits and internal reporting requirements.
- Responsible for leading the monthly billing process across the team.
- Responsible for overall billing communication, keeping the UK team and key stakeholders up to date with all necessary information.
- Direct management of 5 Team Leads.
What We Will Need From You:
- Comprehensive and proven experience in a similar role ideally within the Fire Engineering sector or Engineering sector.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance including international legal billing standards, VAT and Accounts rules (essential).
- Ideally, experienced in helping develop and lead a transformational billing function (essential).
- Experience across multiple billing platforms (essential), advantageous if including EvoMx, Corrigo.
- A proactive approach and will be committed to delivering internal and external customer service excellence (essential).
